What K-TOP includes

The curriculum under the coaching.

K-TOP (KPOP Training Online Program) is the Keens Seoul online training system. This 1:1 offer adds private feedback on top of that foundation.

350+
Structured lessons

Dance, vocal, expression, and stage training built from the Keens Seoul curriculum.

100+
Audition Field Guide

What casting actually looks for by agency tier — so training matches the real standard.

Practice Hall + Vocal Room

Drill loops, range builders, warm-ups, and repeatable practice tools between feedback cycles.

In-house audition visibility

Priority visibility in the Keens candidate file — normally reserved for trainees in Seoul.

Why 1:1 changes the outcome

The cost of training alone.

Hours practiced without correction don't build the skill — they cement the mistake. The feedback loop is what separates improvement from repetition.

Without 1:1 feedback
Solo training
  • You drill the same choreography without knowing if your lines are off
  • Vocal practice locks in bad habits — you hear yourself, not what a trainer hears
  • No objective score means you can't tell if you're improving or plateauing
  • Audition applications go out blind — no read on how you actually land
  • Progress feels invisible; motivation drops around month 3
With K-TOP 1:1
Coached training
  • A Keens trainer watches your footage and writes exactly what to fix
  • Vocal notes catch the technique drift you can't self-diagnose
  • Monthly 0–10 score tells you precisely where you stand on the SM rubric
  • Talent DB priority flags you for partner audition windows throughout your sub
  • You see your progress month over month — the score keeps it visible
The 1:1 loop

How the feedback cycle works.

Four steps that repeat every month. You submit, a trainer responds, you re-shoot, you get scored.

1
Upload your footage
Post your dance and vocal clips to the Keens submission portal — any week, any level. No minimum quality threshold.
Each week
2
Trainer records your feedback
A Keens Seoul trainer reviews the clip and sends video feedback with specific action items — what to fix, what to drill, what's already landing.
Within 3 business days
3
Re-shoot with the corrections
Apply the notes and film again. The next submission shows your trainer the actual improvement — not your description of it.
Your next upload
4
Monthly scored evaluation
Once a month you receive a formal 0–10 evaluation using Jae Shim's SM-era scoring rubric across dance, vocal, and stage presence.
Every 30 days

The founder

Built by Jae Shim.

Jae Shim — Founder, Keens Academy

For twenty years, Jae was Performance Director at SM Entertainment — the architect behind EXO's Growl, Girls' Generation's debut, Red Velvet's stagecraft, and aespa's first world tour.

The 0–10 evaluation rubric used in every K-TOP 1:1 scored eval is the same framework Jae used inside SM to assess trainees before debut. It grades across dance technique, vocal consistency, line control, stage presence, and overall readiness — with written notes for each category.

"The reason international trainees plateau is they get no honest read on their work. The rubric exists so you always know exactly where you stand." — Jae Shim, Founder · Keens Seoul

What to expect

What your first 90 days look like.

The 1:1 loop compounds. Here's how the trajectory typically builds month over month.

Month 1
First feedback loop + Talent DB listing
  • Listed on the Keens Talent DB from day one — priority visibility for any audition windows that open during your sub
  • First footage submission within the first week
  • Trainer returns video feedback on dance and vocal with specific action items
  • End of month: first 0–10 scored evaluation with written breakdown across all categories
Month 2
Second scored eval — see your progress
  • Second full month of weekly feedback submissions and trainer notes
  • Second 0–10 scored evaluation — you now have two data points to compare
  • Your trainer identifies patterns in what you're correcting and where you're still drifting
  • Any audition alignment notes if relevant windows are open
Month 3
Trajectory review + roadmap
  • Three scored evals in hand — your arc is visible
  • Trainer delivers a trajectory note: what's improving fastest, what needs more focus next quarter
  • Roadmap for the next training phase based on your actual score progression
  • Option to continue, upgrade to Seoul Intensive, or adjust cadence

Before you start

Common questions.

The objections — and the real answers.

No. Keens trainers work with the footage you submit, at whatever level you're at. The first submission gives them a baseline; notes are calibrated to where you actually are, not where you should be. Many 1:1 subscribers start from intermediate and use the feedback to accelerate — but beginners who have trained on K-TOP for a month or two benefit just as much.
Video feedback is returned within 3 business days of your submission. Monthly scored evaluations are delivered within 5 business days of the end of your billing month. If feedback is delayed for any reason, your trainer will notify you through the Keens portal.
Any video showing the skill your trainer is evaluating — a full performance, a section, or an isolated drill. There's no minimum length requirement. For dance feedback, a 30-second clip of a section your trainer flagged previously is often more useful than a 3-minute full run. Your trainer will guide what to film as the feedback loop develops.
Unused submission slots don't carry over, but there's no penalty for a missed week. Life happens. The cadence is weekly by design — consistent submissions produce the compounding effect — but skipping a week doesn't affect your scored monthly eval or Talent DB status.
Yes. Every K-TOP 1:1 subscriber is listed in the Keens candidate file from day one. This is the same internal document shared with partner agencies when audition windows open. Priority status means your profile is surfaced earlier in the file, but no audition is automatic — every opportunity remains merit-gated and partner-specific. K-TOP 1:1 gives you visibility; your scores determine placement priority.
Your first 0–10 scored evaluation arrives at the end of your first billing month — typically 30 days after you start. It covers dance technique, vocal consistency, line control, stage presence, and overall readiness, with written notes in each category. From month 2 onward, you can compare each month against the last one clearly.
